Before the game started there was a moment of silence for soccer player and broadcaster Brian Budd who died earlier in the week.

Attendance was announced at 20135. My row started out half empty when the game started but eventually filled up.
Man of the Match (who is always a TFC player) was midfielder Rohan Ricketts. I was glad that he ran all the way over to Section 108 and celebrated in front of us.
The PA announcer gave a pregame warning that fans could throw streamers but not onto the field. That warning was ignored but the Rapids had few cornerkicks in the south end.
Rapids brought in Conor Casey at forward at 64 minutes. He had a brief time in Toronto FC back in 2007 but was traded away. He has the shaved head look of Danny Dichio and the physical build of him. Dichio is TFC's leading scorer and the better player.
The PA announcer promoted the TFC Academy team that plays in the CSL league. Tomorrow's game against Serbian White Eagles was announced at least twice.
